Summer is officially upon us and our diaries are already filling up with the usual invites to junks, brunches and beach barbecues. So far, so predictable. But if you’re looking for something decidedly more elegant and exclusive this season, make time for a day of leisurely luxury at Cabana!

With sunken onsens, private cabins and indulgent lounge beds on offer, Cabana is the location to experience the ultimate sun downer sessions with a gang of mamas, your closest friends, or your special plus one. Set just far enough out of Central, in the penthouse of The Pulse, this spacious escape from the city is where it’s at for a swanky, sexy and fashionable fiesta – complete with white linens and a sultry crowd.

Cabana is hosting a variety of upcoming events this summer, and I would highly recommend getting on that guest list for a taste of Riviera refinement in HK.

Recently, I was able to nab a ticket to Cabana’s signature Champagne Party and revel in an afternoon of chic, coastal charisma. Stepping out onto the private terrace, the sun shone and I was presented with a glass of crisp, cool G.H. Mumm, before being led to my lavish lounger, which overlooked the breath-taking views of Repulse Bay. As I sprawled out to take in the scene, I felt thoroughly spoilt and knew instantly that this venue was something very special indeed. DJ Fred Everything played chill-out lounge music – the optimal soundtrack to any beach club – and everyone started to unwind and soak in the weekend vibes. When the rays got a little intense, shelter came in the form of one of the private cabins, where I retreated away from the glare and relaxed in paradisal opulence.

Throughout the day, I padded barefoot around the terrace – dipping in and out of the onsens – and chatted to a number of dapper guests in attendance. The fluidity and expansiveness of the venue made it easy to mix, mingle and cut some shapes when the DJ kicked the tunes up a notch! Cabana is one of those venues that almost defies description and the real joy is experiencing the sophisticated atmosphere of this contemporary concept for oneself.

After a couple of hours spent sipping bubbles, Cabana thoughtfully served a selection of exquisite canapés which included savoury snacks, sushi bites and salmon blinis. Notably, the quality of the service at Cabana was exceptional; each member of staff was remarkably pleasant and exhibited precise attention to detail and commitment to quality. To make your day even more memorable, I would suggest asking specifically for Jared, who went above and beyond to cater to any request and was generally an awesome guy!

Overall, Cabana has something for everyone, from groups of celebratory party guests, to out of town guests, to loved-up couples (aka mamas and papas getting some much needed quality time and R&R!). There are a plethora of reasons to make this your go-to social spot this summer…
