Here at Instant Goddess HQ we do LOVE supporting local talent and this week we have not one, but two local designers to tantalise those shopping taste buds!

Callixto
Cal
Left to right: Green Dita Cuff, $581; Braided Cuff, $781 and Pink Dita Cuff, $407, reduced from $581

First off, we have Callixto – founded by Sasha Denning, whose collections are inspired by her vast and rich travels all over the world. With a passion for jewels and fine craftsmanship Sasha brings you truly gorgeous pieces, often from the most far flung of places, so you can profit from her good taste and sense of adventure without even having to step out of your front door! Often her cool jewels are statement pieces made from real stones with pops of striking colour… just the way Instant Goddess likes it! And also keeping the Instant Goddess very happy are the prices, which thankfully are affordable and not off the chart.

If you’re wondering about the name Callixto it means most beautiful in Greek… and I’m sure you’ll agree these pieces are just that!

So, Goddesses once again, it’s time to adorn yourselves; you can buy online or from EDIT on Hollywood Road.

And there’s more, for the month of December, each day there’s 30% off one chosen design from their website… so log on now to Callixto to find out what the pick of the day is and bag yourself a very refreshing 30% discount!

LUVMYDRESS

Instant Goddess is super duper excited about LUVMYDRESS – a relative newcomer to the HK fashion scene whose aim is to “bring beautiful and affordable clothing to all women who want to look fabulous without breaking the bank“… now if thats not a worthy mission statement then I don’t know what is?!

We’re talking designer inspired pieces, but at a fraction of the price. Pui Pui, the founder, uses a benchmark of US$100 / HK$775 for dresses, making them accessible for young professionals, students and mamas alike. Who said looking good meant a new mortgage?

The only slight technical hitch is that due to the overwhelming demand for their first collection it has SOLD OUT online, but do not fret Goddesses, as they are currently in the process of restocking and updating their online shop. In the meantime, you can visit them at their studio showroom at G/F, 23 Po Tuck Street, Sai Ying Pun. When Instant Goddess was at their pop-up show last week the remaining items were selling like hot cakes, so probably best to contact the founder Pui Pui in advance to avoid disappointment. This is definitely one to watch for the New Year!

Object of Desire

Above: Moncler Beige Carole Shearling and Suede Knee-High Boots, approx. $12,125… ouch!

So, Instant Goddess is currently freezing her wotsits off in the UK, and the shopping mission she has chosen to accept is to find an affordable alternative to these Moncler boots, above. But will it snow? Instant Goddess is off down the bookies to place a bet on a White Christmas. MiniNSTAT AKA Mini Goddess, AKA Gracie, aged 3 ½ wants snow… lets see what Santa brings!

Midweek Meal Inspiration

Given that it’s Christmas, and the Instant Goddess is holed up in the UK, I thought it would be a good idea to bring a little bit of the Orient to Blighty, so this week it’s Christmas Spring Rolls courtesy of former That Mama and foodie extraordinaire, Sharon Maloney! The recipe’s online today, so get rolling…

Not really a midweek meal, we know, but Sharon ate these for breakfast – an inspired idea! Will Blighty embrace this Asian twist on a British classic? The Instant Goddess awaits with bated breath.

Now where are my thermals and my champagne cloak…?

Yogi tea saying of the week: You can run after satisfaction, but it must come from within

Instant Goddess saying of the week: Christmas Spring Rolls and my trusty champagne cloak – most satisfying”

Until next time Goddesses, and remember you are ALWAYS, ALWAYS worth it.
