Instant Goddess: Pretty in Pink for Valentine’s Day!

Style & BeautyPost Category - Style & BeautyStyle & Beauty

What with Valentine’s fast approaching and Chinese New Year a-knocking… this week’s Instant Goddess has to pay homage to all things pink and red. Whether you’re crazy in love or not, surely everyone deserves a little fashion pick-me-up this Valentine’s Day?! And if you’ve missed the online boat for Valentine’s there’s still time to get your goodies for Chinese New Year. Fastest finger on the mouse, Goddesses!

Photo-1 (1)Left: Sportmax Code dress with lace panel and embellishment $2,727; top right: ASOS wide belt A line skater dress $681 and bottom right: Naretta black patent heeled shoes with goldtone hardware $1,818 all available on ASOS

I’d never given Sportmax Code, part of the Max Mara family, much of a second glance but I couldn’t help but notice the eye-catching dress above. Ok, it might be a little more than you want to pay, but after all it’s still designer with a bit of a hefty price tag… only a little hefty!

If you’re after more bang for your buck, then check out Zalora (Asia’s answer to ASOS). Zalora have pulled together a special Chinese New Year Collection at prices so good for Hong Kong you won’t believe them! I’m loving the pink Emperor’s shadow Cheongsam below and there are some great dresses in the collection too – see below! Delivery is fast… so you definitely have time for Valentine’s!

Photo-2Left to right: Emperor’s shadow Cheongsam top $239 Zalora; Blazer with combined lapel $899 from Zara; Sportmax Code t-shirt with embellished neckline $1,591

More Zalora dresses and outfits from the Chinese New Year Collection – definitely worthy of closer inspection.

Photo-3Left: ASOS Premium cutwork midi skater dress $ 1,287 and bottom right: Leather biker jacket $1,899 from Zara

But of course, we couldn’t put ASOS in the corner when it carries such stunning dresses as the one below. Often ASOS gets criticised for not being well finished and of cheap quality. But I find if you stick to their premium collections you’re definitely not disappointed for the price.

Photo-4Clockwise starting from top left: Red stripe cropped draped summer jacket $710, River Island; Mock croc city back $559, Leather messenger bag $1,699 both Zara, Leather jacket with flap pockets $2,990 Massimo Dutti, Leather high heeled court shoe $599 and metal mesh necklace $359, both Zara

And finally if you’re not wanting to go the whole hog with the red theme… maybe just a little nod with a red accessory here and there will give you just the pop you need.

Shoe of the Week

Evelyn shoe by Miss KG, Kurt Geiger $1,005

Once again Kurt Geiger wins the Shoe of the Week gong! I can’t help myself…but do I like these more than the Ennis featured last time? And teamed with this belted jumpsuit from Massimo Dutti you definitely have a winning combination for date night.

Midweek Meal Inspiration

Photo 6And yep, we’re still on the Red Carpet Detox, despite a little collision at the weekend involving a bottle of Champagne, a bottle of white and a bottle of red (where the Instant Goddess may or may not have drank all three…) But suffice to say, that little trip off the Red Carpet put the Instant Goddess firmly back on it! This week we particularly enjoyed this Thai Green Curry with Chicken.

Yogi tea saying of the week:Your intuition is your best friend.

Instant Goddess saying of the week:Get back on that Red Carpet quick smart!”

Until next time Goddesses and remember you are ALWAYS, ALWAYS worth it XX
