Instant Goddess Returns to Cool: Inspiration from London!

Style & BeautyPost Category - Style & BeautyStyle & Beauty

Apologies for the blip in Instant Goddess communications… she’s been travelling and just back from the chilly UK, which of course got her thinking about winter warmers. Although it did get up to 23 degrees on Halloween in Covent Garden, in fact, the hottest Halloween on record in the UK, so one can’t complain really, can one?

So, what got the shopping radar twitching? As we know, the UK has a great selection of High Street fashion, but fear not, everything here is available online.

With temperatures cooling noticeably here in HK, it won’t be too long before you’re reaching for a coat. If you’re travelling to cooler climes for Christmas, then get ready with these fabulously faux furs from River Island which has to be one of the best online destinations for affordable, on trend coats at the moment. River Island delivers to HK for approx. $120 and shipping takes approx. 10 days.

And if you’re not an online shopper (how can you possibly survive in this barren high street land of affordable fashion that is Hong Kong?!) or can’t wait for an online delivery, Zara has these options currently in store… yep it’s all about faux fur and the parka this season, Goddesses!

And if the shoe fits…don’t delay, buy, buy, buy!

I do love a Kurt Geiger shoe, especially when it comes in red leopard print! While struggling through Heathrow with the tot in tow I saw these but alas, didn’t have the energy nor baggage space to purchase. But I’ve since discovered that KG deliver to HK for £10 (approx $120) within 3-7 working days… woohoo!

Bum lifting and leg slimming jeans

Yep, you read right. Bum lifting and leg slimming jeans… and they work! Instant Goddess is all over these from Next. And in case you didn’t know, Next deliver in 4 working days to Hong Kong and delivery is free!

Function and fashion

Instant Goddess does love a wedge boot… it means that you can dart around without your trotters suffering and, of course, a wedge also elongates the leg in which means function and fashion rolled into one. Instant Goddess is loving these grey and navy blue wedges from Boden, and if you’ve got the character for them, then it has to be the leopard! Boden deliver to HK for £12 (approx $150) and deliveries take 12-14 days.

Wedge stretch boots £99 all from Boden

While we’re on the subject of boots, I also stumbled across these over the knee block heel boots from Next. They come in black or grey and are very reasonably priced at $627. The only question is, which colour will you choose?! A friend says they’re too sexy for daywear. Instant Goddess says nonsense.

Chicameo

Beaten by the dreaded jetlag, Instant Goddess was sad to miss Chicameo’s pop up shop last week at 10 Chancery Lane, but fear not you can also catch them at the Conrad Fair on 1 December AND shop online with them (shipping is free in HK)! For the uninitiated, Instant Goddess has been following this home spun label since its launch back in 2011 and each collection is going from strength to strength. As you know Instant Goddess is a huge fan of embellishment and luxe detailing, so she was delighted to see so much of it in the current Chicameo collection. Instant Goddess must haves are:

Midweek Meal Inspiration

qweqw

This week, it’s Meatball Stroganoff over on the BBC’s Good Food website. This dish is a real crowd pleaser and so easy to make especially when you cheat by using readymade meatballs. If you want to pep it up a bit it definitely benefits from the addition of Worcestershire Sauce or HP Sauce. Mmmm…we’re LOVIN’ it in the Instant Goddess household!

Yogi tea saying of the week: The beauty in you is your spirit”

Instant Goddess saying of the week: Vodka or Gin?!”

Until next time Goddesses, and remember you are ALWAYS, ALWAYS worth it!
