Sassy Scoop: EXS Capital Seminars: Helping you with education planning from kindy to Ivy League

Now the dust has settled on the back-to-school frenzy, we have a little more free time to reflect on our plans for the coming few months and beyond. So the timing of the upcoming EXS Capital education planning seminars couldn’t be better!

EXS education funding expert Todd Pallett will be partnering with education specialists Carole Bird and Ruth Benny to present on all aspects of your child’s education. Carole Bird from Apply Ivy, specialise in advising students and parents about how best to win places at Ivy League schools. Ruth Benny from Top Schools specialises in placements in ESF, Private and International schools in Hong Kong. These three seminars, on the 17th, 18th, and 27th of September, will be held at the EXS Capital office on Wellington Street, Central. We’ve got the lowdown on what the sessions will cover, and why you should attend!

Todd will be discussing financial planning for education and why setting aside a little in the way of savings now can save big headaches later on. He’ll also go into more specific detail on saving strategies and plans, and the varying costs associated with these, including tax implications for expats.

Carole will focus on US college admissions; the trends in college admission, the different types of schools on offer in the US, and what admission committees are really looking for in an application. She’ll also draw on her own experience with working with Hong Kong students and their successes in Ivy League institutions.

Ruth will give you an honest look at how to navigate the Hong Kong school maze and give parents valuable information on the debenture system.

All seminars run between 7-9pm, and are located at the EXS Capital office, Lucky Building, 23/F, 39 Wellington Street, Central, Hong Kong.

How much: Please note that spaces are limited and RSVPs will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Attendees will be asked for a HK$100 donation, which will be donated to Mother’s Choice. Payments must be made in advance via this link.
