There are so many volunteering opportunities available in HK for those looking to help out, but it can be hard to distinguish the good from the bad and track exactly where your money is ending up! If you’re seeking a great cause, the Christian Action organisation at the Chungking Mansions Service Centre has a fantastic program in place to support child welfare, and they’re now appealing for urgent donations for more sponsors by the end of February. The Education Sponsorship Programme currently supports 65 refugee children, with 5 more on the waiting list, providing them with school materials, administration fees and transportation expenses. You can make a difference through any donations, big or small, or sponsor a child directly ($4,800 annual cost). To find out more, email [email protected] or call 2723 6626.
