Just because January tends to trend as a chance to detox and work on our health goals, it doesn’t mean we can’t look ahead to a little indulgence and pig out on sumptuous steaks! With so many incredible cuts of beef out there, it’s maddening to choose just one – so we’ve put together a list of our favourite (m)eateries that’ll have you covered, no matter the occasion. From the neon cow on the sign at the entrance, to the dessert trolley coming round just when you think you couldn’t eat another bite, La Vache! doesn’t disappoint! The experience is made even better as they offer all-you-can-eat chips and have the most delicious sauce to accompany your perfectly cooked steak. If you’re on the hunt for a real Rib-Eye, Gaucho‘s authentic Argentinian flavours are something to shout home about. Choose your preferred cut, marinade (red jalapeño chilli, please!) and sauce from an extensive menu and choose to pair your meal with a little surf ‘n turf. Trust us, their gambas skewers with a churrasco dressing are the perfect accompaniment.

Team Sassy had the pleasure of checking out this effortlessly chic spot a while back, and we’re still raving about the incredible food! The entire first floor focuses on dry-aged steak and seafood, so you can be sure it’s top quality. Their wagyu steak is (understandably) a feature on the Chef’s Special Menu, and at $925, it’s more than enough to serve two hungry beef-lovers. The skirt steak is grilled to perfection and comes with a crispy tortilla, black beans and bacon… If you have space left, make sure to grab dessert here too!

If you’re looking for a really classic, American-style steakhouse then head for Morton’s of Chicago.
