We’ve rounded out some of our favourite restaurants out there who are offering sumptuous Christmas menus that will fill you deliciously to the brim. From family friend spots to grown-ups only, there’s something for everyone! Forget slaving away in the kitchen this year and book ahead to have your Christmas dinners sorted. Happy feasting, mamas!

The Popsy Room

If you’re looking for a unique private dining experience, The Popsy Room has got you covered! Located in the heart of Hong Kong’s antique district, this quirky little location caters to your palette’s preferences. As art and fine-dining specialists, they are taking this festive season to the next level by pairing tailor-made French menus with stunning art exhibitions. We were lucky enough to get a sneaky preview of their Christmas Menu and fell in love with the Classic Lobster Bisque. With a generous helping of fresh chunky lobster, this dish was gloriously aromatic! If private dining isn’t what you’re looking for, you can head over to their sister restaurant, Popsy Modern Kitchen, for a more laid-back vibe. Oh, and if you’re keen to get the littles involved in some family festive activities, make sure to head on over to their Christmas Cookie Decorating Workshops. The sessions are running all through December, and we can fully vouch for how therapeutic this is for the mamas too!

The Optimist

If you still haven’t made it to The Optimist, December may be the best time of year to do it! Think Christmas dining with a Spanish twist – Optimist is hosting a fab festive Christmas semi-buffet brunch which will include roasted turkey with an array of sides, tapas style. Prefer an extravagant Christmas dinner? Indulge in the 5 course Christmas feast consisting of their signature dishes – juicy steaks and grilled Galician octopus to name a few-  and of course seasonal Christmas dessert. Book in advance mamas, this one will fill up quick! Can’t make it on the big day? The Optimist is also serving festive specialty lunch and dinner menus (plus kid menus too!) from December first.

Hugo’s at the Hyatt Regency

Indulge this Christmas Eve with the Silent night specialty dinner menu at Hugo’s Hyatt Regency, a decadent six course European style menu featuring dishes like smoked pigeon, white truffle smoked artichoke soup with Japanese sea urchin and port soaked vanilla brioche to name a few, alongside hours of wining dining to live music. For dessert expect a festive chocolate and raspberry log cake. If brunching is your thing, perhaps opt for their Christmas brunch specials offering up a semi-buffet of seafood on ice, mouthwatering meat options (think US beef ribs and bacon wrapped turkey, yes please!) and of course the eggy alternatives with free-flow bubbly and boozy packages available.

Does a Mince Pie Manhattan Intrigue you? Combining raisins, festive spices shaken with bourbon and sweet vermouth? I’ll take two please! Gaucho’s Argentinean cuisine is spreading the Christmas cheer with their special Christmas menu and cocktails for your tasting pleasure. The Christmas Signature allows you to create your own Holiday dinner from a list of Gaucho signature dishes; including classic chorizo, a range of empanadas, rib-eye and chimichurri and dulce de leche cheesecake. Dining with a group? The Christmas Sharing Menu will delight you and your family and friends with a set menu of similar dishes including cranberry stuffing, a braised bacon cabbage dish and red wine cranberry gravy…. Yep, the feelings are real. What’s more, on December 26, there’ll be a DIY Bloody Mary Station which our editor, Kat can definite vouch for!

The Market at Hotel ICON

They had me at Chocolate Yule Log cake! The Market will be a hosting a series of festive brunch and dinner buffets offering a mix of traditional Christmas and fusion fare. At brunch you might find the honey glazed ham next to the roasted turkey, with Braised Snake soup and Peking duck somewhere near… The dinner menu has more options for the refined foodie taste, from pan fried goose liver to Boston lobster, an array of fish dishes and a mouthwatering selection of desserts, plum pudding and that promising chocolate yule log cake, to name a few!

KITCHEN at The W

KITCHEN is going all out for Christmas this year, offering over 80 festive dishes on their Holiday buffet menus! Think traditional Christmas with a whimsical twist; an array of homely salads from quinoa cranberry to roasted corn and mint, a seafood bar, sushi and sashimi station and warm up with one of the comforting soups perhaps the creamy truffle mushroom. If that’s not enough for you, don’t worry – there’s so much more. A few of the mouthwatering mains consist of Lemon Basil Thai roasted turkey and Australian lamb rack with mint jelly which will go along quite nicely with roasted pumpkin, braised chestnuts and or a kale-broccoli stir fry. Yes, kale is on the menu! And of course the elegant buffet wouldn’t be complete without an entire table of desserts including the obvious chocolate fountain, strawberry panna cotta, Christmas logs and chestnut cake…

Green is offering semi-buffet brunch and dinner with very merry dishes including baby turkey (imported all the way from Brittany, France), grilled cuts of steak and a an array of seafood options. Sit back, relax and go very hungry, it’s promised that you’ll leave satisfied.

Counting down the days until Christmas?! So are we – consider spending one of them on a fancy not-so traditional holiday feast, Le Bistro Winebeast will be serving an exclusive Christmas Eve 5 course menu with intricate flavour and creative combinations. Cream of chicken with black truffle, seared red tuna and pan fried foie gras with a poached peach, and a dessert that involves Madagascar vanilla ice cream, pistachio, and fruit soaked rum are just a few examples to excite your tastebuds… Yes, please.

Mistral at Intercontinental Grand Stanford

The Mistral at Intercontinental is known for decadent Italian flare and flavor combinations; when their Christmas Eve & New Years day 5 course dinner menu was released, we were excited to say the least. I mean, how does homemade egg tagliolini with lobster bolognese and truffle foam sound to you? And that’s just one dish.. Chestnut cream soup with crispy pancetta and parmesan is another – even Santa is expected to make an appearance! Indulge on the night before Christmas, because you deserve it!

Belon

Enjoy a cosy Christmas dinner in the inviting dining room of Belon, and treat yourself and family and friends to a traditional holiday roast – French style. Accompanied by fresh oysters in a champagne sauce, charcuterie galore and some decadent pate. Using the freshest locally sourced ingredients and the best from abroad, you’re sure to feel the warmth of a home cooked meal this Christmas at Belon.

Jamie’s Italian

Italian’s and food go together like milk and cookies! Jamie’s Italian eatery is holding true to Italian tradition and the importance of a meal and sharing it with others, while mixing festive dishes with hearty tradition. Definitely a family friendly favourite! Three separate menus will be available from Thursday, 1 December; the Festive lunch set menu, Festive Formal dinner menu, and another the WOW menu group gatherings (10 people and more). Think rich porchetta, creamy wild mushroom pappardelle, oxtail and tiramisu. Dining with a big group the WOW menu is a bit more traditional and exudes family Christmas, with Rudolph’s rocket fuel (root veg wholesome soup), Turkey Wellington and more all intertwined with big Italian flavor. Mangia, mangia!

‘Tis the season, mamas! Tis the season of eating that is… And at Pirata’s Italian kitchen they’re not messing around with their festive holiday menus. Aside from month long specials, they’ll be showcasing Christmas Eve/Day specialty brunch and 5 course dinner menus for your tasting delight! Expect cheesy Christmas cheer – literally, a lot of cheese, an entire carved out parmesan wheel filled with creamy risotto to be precise. For the five course dinner you can expect wild boar ragout, red wine and juniper berries, sea bass and steak with the freshest herbs. Your tastebuds will be dancing the night away and thanking you for this one. Let’s just say, the food will be plentiful…

Bostonian Seafood and Grill Langham Hotel

The Bostonian Seafood and Grill is offering a selection of festive semi-buffet menus throughout the month of December! They’ll be showcasing a spread of tasty appetisers and an array of holiday mains including pistachio crusted rack of lamb scented with rosemary and rich slow-cooked lobster with poached scallops – take your pick. They aren’t falling short on sweets either, the Chocolate Symphony, a concoction made up of chocolate, raspberry and passion fruit sounds right up our alley!

ToTT’s and the Roof Terrace provide the perfect setting for a festive celebration, while your eyes can feast on the beautiful views of Victoria Harbour and Kowloon skyline, your belly can partake on the feasting of a beautifully designed holiday dinner! The set-menu on Christmas Eve consists of elegantly presented seared Scallops with Oscietra Caviar and crispy skinned Iberico Pork belly, while the Christmas day set dinner will include Coffin Bay Pacific Oysters, decadent lobster ravioli, beef rossini and of course delicious desserts… There’s also live entertainment so you’ll be set for fab night out on the town!

French cuisine is known for fresh ingredients and finesse, and the Le Menu Festif, the 6 course set-menu Bibo is serving over the holidays surely won’t disappoint. The chef’s list consists of dishes using the best French winter produce, with a contemporary twist. Love a little paté? Then your tastebuds will tingle at the thought of house made pork belly and pistachio terrine made with Landes goose foie gras; followed by a main of pan-fried venison served with slow cooked pear, beetroot salad with a festive gingerbread and beef jus. The poached pear dessert with truffle honey ice cream and chocolate crumble will be the perfect sweet ending to the rich meal in which you won’t be able to help but savour every last bite!

The Ocean

Seafood lovers rejoice! The Ocean is serving up a seven course festive menu for the holiday season, and it’s one that you won’t want to miss – all seafood sourced respectively from the depths of the sea. Imagine the Ocean Breeze, a delicate abalone with barley and mushroom, followed by the First Wave, smoked scallops with roasted eggplant. Later you’ll plunge into the Blue Lagoon of lobster bisques, with cranberry beans and beets. Soon after is the Great Reef, a dish of caviar, herbs, nutty pistachio and meaty mussels. The Coastal View is unbeatable, all we can say is coffee + almond + meringue… yes please! We’ll leave the rest to your imagination..

Searching for an alternative Christmas feast? Consider TRi a suitable choice with their 8 course festive menu consisting of freshly unique Balinese dishes! Start off with a raw tuna, betel leaf, spicy green bean grilled coconut salad, followed by minced pork satays with spicy sauce and cucumber refreshers, smoke duck steamed buns, braised shank and sweet potato and so much more… We also feel the need to mention the Banana Goreng: where crispy fried banana, pumpkin puree, ice cream and ginger scented sponge cake will come together for an unforgettable ending.

Café Deco

Celebrate the joyous holiday and festivities with one of the best views of the harbour at Café Deco. They’ll be hosting a four course Christmas Eve dinner with some of our all-time favorite dishes.. Some of the highlights include creamy butternut squash soup, grilled scallops on leeks, naturally the Festive Christmas turkey, filet mignon with a gorgonzola crust (anything with cheese!) and baked lobster Thermidor. Sold, a feast fit for a queen and her hungry subjects! They’ll also be hosting a Christmas Day brunch and if it’s anything like their regular brunch menu, trust us you don’t want to skip it!

Aside from the fabulous Victoria Harbour views at Watermark, the classic setting makes it an ideal choice for a ceremonial Christmas dining experience! Their holiday menu looks fabulous too, including their free-range chicken (salivating at the thought – considering my recent experience!) this time served with a chestnut purée, other tasty options include pan seared barramundi and grilled beef tenderloin with foie gras. Their vegetarian options look to die for too, baked goat cheese and roasted beet tart and saffron risotto to name a few. Even the meat lovers will be intrigued! We’ll have one of everything… From each menu! Merry Christmas, seriously.

The Continental

The Continental’s terrace has been transformed into a winter wonderland, strung with twinkly lights, festive views, holiday tunes and naturally, many gastronomical delights! Give way to the elaborately festive 5 course menu consisting of tuna tartare and black truffle followed by a main of lobster medallion with gingerbread crumble; end the meal with an eggnog soufflé and wash it down with wintery beers, mulled wine and an array of whiskey offerings. There will be lots of cheese fondue too, we’re talkin’ melted ooey gooey Gruyere and warm, melty Raclette… the perfect addition to literally every meal.

Mr & Mrs Fox

This winter just got a whole lot warmer with the festive dishes Mr. & Mrs. Fox have added to their menu for the holiday season. Think cranberry glazed turkey, foie gras and beef wellington (all in one dish!) and the classic most toothsome holiday pie that exists, brown butter pecan. If you’re feeling adventurous, opt for one of their seasonal Swiss dishes, wienerschnitzel and spaetzle served with lemon capers and brown butter. Cheese fondue is another option that’ll surely warm you up.

Plat Du Jour

Got the holiday blues? Nothing that a complimentary Casse-crouté of truffle Brie de Meaux, tomato jam and crostini can’t fix! Start off with a delectable Boston Lobster Caesar followed by a perfectly cooked baby rack of lamb or roasted Turbot fillet and then a Kir Royale jelly champagne mousse! That’s exactly what you’ll get if you opt for the 3 course holiday set-menu at Plat Du Jour for a Christmas meal. Finish things up with a champagne mousse and perhaps some bubbly too! Plat Du Jour will also be offering a complimentary bottle of red or white vino to the first 20 reservations for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Jump on it, mamas!
