Those cocktails are looking very tempting!

It won’t be long until our friends start disappearing to all corners of the globe for the festive season, so there’s no better time to schedule in a much-needed mums-only catch up. The weather has cooled down, that after-work (or after-kids-are-in-bed) drink is looking like a mighty fine idea! This month there are new cocktail menus to try, BYO wine deals and martinis to be drunk for a good cause. We’ll cheers to that!

Aqua Spirit

Why wait until there are guests in town to take in the breathtaking views from Aqua Spirit? We think it’s high time to head here with your best gal pals. Until January 2020, the bar is teaming up with Tanqueray Gin to bring you “Homegrown” cocktails made with distinct botanical flavours and hand-picked, fresh herbs. Be sure to try out the Rosebud Dusk — with its strong floral notes of lavender, jasmine and rose, or the sensationally sweet Sherbet Sundown.

Pica Pica

Have you tried the pinchos at Pica Pica yet? If not, where have you been?! Pica Pica is your go-to neighbourhood hangout that provides an energetic and colourful dining experience inspired by the Spanish tapas tradition. Pop in for its Pinchos Hour every weekday from 5pm to 7pm and treat yourselves a glass of beer, wine or spirit and get a complimentary pincho on the house!

Pica Pica, Shop G & H, G/F, Kai Tak Commercial Building, 317-321 Des Voeux Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, 2811 9880, [email protected], www.picapica.hk

Kakure

Kakure is mixing up the traditional martini by making it with vodka instead of gin. Until Saturday, 30 November, Kakure is serving up an exclusive cocktail drink that will make you want to travel to Japan’s seafood market immediately. The cocktail, Umami-Tini, pays homage to umami by using truffle zest and Japanese Umami Bitters to bring out the savoury element. If you’d prefer to sip from the regular menu, get there for Happy Hour, which runs from 4pm to 7pm daily.

Kakure, M/F, Prince’s Building, 10 Chater Rd, Central, Hong Kong, 2522 9990, [email protected], www.epicurean.com.hk/restaurant/kakure
