With the due date looming, there’s nothing that can help settle those nerves better than equipping yourself with knowledge by going back to school, and by school, we mean antenatal classes! Bring yourself and hubby along to the classes that will demystify the labour experience and gain skills to help you through deliver your bubba.

A Mother’s Touch

With a motto of bump, baby, and beyond, A Mother’s Touch accommodates women at every stage of pregnancy. We love that relaxation techniques like massages, acupuncture, and reflexology are used to assist with the labour and birth. Deep breath, mama, you got this. Other than offering prenatal assessments and consultations, Central Health is an all round medical clinic that has obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, speech therapy, child development, psychology counselling amongst many other health treatments. This clinic is a great choice if you’re looking for a family doctor and medical treatment that extends beyond your prenatal care.

Matilda Hospital

This well-known private hospital is a favourite amongst many mamas. This is not surprising considering the many perks such as one-to-one midwife to client ratio, on-demand epidurals and multilingual antenatal courses. Their antenatal courses are divided into understanding natural delivery and understanding C-Sections. You can even extend your prenatal education and book to have natural delivery or C-section at the hospital when your little one arrives!

Kathy Kitzis

Renowned for her massage treatments, this trained remedial massage therapist extends her expertise to Doula support. Consult her for pregnancy and postnatal massages, highly recommended for alleviating pain. Calmbirth® courses are also offered here to help expecting mamas have a more relaxing and focused birth.

The name says it all, right mama? This practice is led by British-trained health visitor Yvonne Heavyside, who also serves as a lactation consultant and community nurse. Yvonne is most renowned for her child care, first aid & CPR course for domestic helpers, which helps tremendously with the division of labour. Her practice also incorporates postnatal home visits to guide new mothers during the baby’s first days.

$1,150 for consultations, $1,380 per couple fast track antenatal classes (3×2 hrs) and  $1,150 for private antenatal classes (home tuition min 2hrs).
