Listen up, mamas! A new play gym has opened up in Hong Kong and we are loving the facilities! Playhouse has many locations all over Hong Kong and has recently opened their Sky City-themed Playhouse in North Point.
Taking the Sky City motif to town, the thematic playhouse has a host of airplane-themed equipment and a Sky City Maze. My little one had a ball on his recent trip there, traipsing around the 11 different zones filled with all the activities a toddler could desire.
Upon entering the space, Aiden went straight for the toy cars and helped himself into one while gesturing for me to move him around. We zoomed past the play airplane model that children can climb up to, and past the airplane seats where parents and grandparents sat while watching the little ones play. Next to all the parked toy cars was a fully padded area designated for younger bubs who were learning to crawl and roll over.
After a while (all of a few minutes!) of zooming around, Aiden noticed many other things that caught his attention and we were off again! This time, to the baby exercise equipment. Yes, you heard me correctly, there was a bicycle, treadmill and an elliptical! They reminded me of the exercising equipment you find in local parks all around town. Super cute and fun for the little ones! While some coordination was needed for the elliptical, he loved it! The equipment was right across from the trampoline – his next favourite activity.
The trampoline is great for older kids who can actually jump around, and Aiden loved it with my assistance. One thing to note, make sure you watch your little one while they’re in there. It’s not huge so if it’s overcrowded it’s best to wait a turn or to come back to this area when there are less children on it.
In the centre of the play gym there are little mazes made perfectly for the height of the children, so mama, watch those backs as you bend down to chase after your bubs! The maze leads you into a room filled with flying foam balls as they’re inserted into a fun machine that shoots the balls high up into the air. Right above this are air shooters where children can aim the foam balls at several targets.
The path above the air shooters leads to a few slides that bring your little ones into a large ball pit which is fun for both child and parent alike! And just outside the ball pit there are large areas for building lego forts too! Needless to say, there are plenty of activities to keep your little ones occupied for a while.
If a private party tickles your fancy, Playhouse has two private rooms available to be booked out. The rooms include admission tickets, use of the party area, dining utensils and much more! If you would like to have catering, photography and other fun elements, Playhouse can also provide that as well. More information can be found on their website.
With summer in full swing, Playhouse North Point is an excellent place to bring your little ones to blow off some steam and avoid the hot humid weather outside!
Playhouse North Point is open from 10am-8:30pm daily. Check here for admission prices.
