Treat the family to an affordable Barbecue family feast this at SoHo’s Big Sur this Father’s Day. Everyone is sure to enjoy sharing succulent smoked pork ribs and melt-in-your-mouth beef ribs served alongside an array of sides including corn on the cobb, fries, coleslaw and salad. Top it off with two Young Master craft beers and you’ve got the makings of a great weekend.

If you like the idea of relaxing outdoors with a view of the harbour, Cruise Restaurant and Bar at the Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour in North Point is a great option. Make a day of it and enjoy a lazy lunch on the terrace (or take the whole weekend off and book a staycation!). The menu is light and refreshing with rice paper rolls and kingfish sashimi as starters, a choice of mains and a tropical dessert to finish off.

This one is for all the plant-loving families out there. Harness the powers of ancient superfoods with the all-new Eight Immortals menu at the modern Chinese Vegetarian restaurant, Miss Lee. Kick back on the rooftop of ifc Mall with a Spanish feast this Father’s Day. The Mercato Sunday Brunch features an unlimited selection of salads, Spanish cheeses and charcuterie served to the table, followed by your pick of mains from either the seafood market or butcher’s corner. There’s also paella made-to-order and of course, sweets to finish off. Alternatively, you could opt for the family-style Father’s Day Tasting Menu. It’s ideal for a family of four and is a mix of the favourite Catalan dishes of Chef Ferran.

Take in the panoramic views from Modern Australian Restaurant Hue, in the newly reopened Hong Kong Museum of Art. You’ll be treated to a feast of sharing starters, your choice of main (our pick is the pork belly!) and finish it off with dessert. At dinner time you’ll be treated to a lovely three-course dinner as Victoria Harbour lights up and the kids will be entertained with some tableside magic by illusionist Lawrence Sullivan.

The Feng Wei brunch at Hutong is always a hit with the whole family. Not only is there a huge variety of dim sum and Northern Chinese dishes, free-flowing drinks, but the kids are kept entertained by face-changing Beijing opera performers and noodle chefs making an appearance throughout the meal. Dads will also be in for a special treat making their very own flavoured whisky infusion crafted at the Moon Gate Bar to either enjoy with the meal or bottled to take home.

Going sky-high to Ozone at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel is always a treat. This Father’s Day, the family is in for a treat with your choice of salad and main, accompanied with unlimited visits to the egg station and dessert bar (the kids are sure to be satisfied there!). There are various beverage packages to choose from, with everything from free-flow fruit-secco and soft drinks ($148 for two hours) through to Dom Perignon Vintage 2008 ($1,288 per person for two hours). If cocktails are the order of the day, the Bar Manager Mena has created a selection of stamina-boosting cocktails and mocktails just for the day.

Steak is always a crowd pleaser and we’re sure the whole family will enjoy the Father’s Day Family Steak Menu at newly opened Parisian-style bistro, District8. The menu features Buffalo Milk Burrata and a Salumi plate to start, an 800g Wagyu Ribeye to share (accompanied with salad and fries) and finished off with desserts. The kids are taken care of as well with a choice of any two meals from the kids’ menu (which ranges from fish and chips, mini cheeseburgers and cheesy pasta).

While we all know that Dad is the hero of the day, there’s another patriarch that can’t be forgotten, Grandpa! Make it a multi-generational affair this Father’s Day and your darling Nonno (Italian for Grandpa) will be dining for free. Take up a spot on the alfresco deck at Spasso and indulge in a four-course build-your-own brunch. Parents-Only Father’s Day Treats
Calling all the foodie Dads! Aulis Hong Kong is playing host to the London team for the month of June. The restaurant is a mix of chef’s table and behind-the-scenes development kitchen where the team experiments and creates new dishes for the menu of the Michelin-starred Roganic London. It’ll be an affordable and casual affair with seven two-hour dining slots on offer from 9am. Build your own tasting menu of either three or five-courses with dishes like the Salmon Muffin (with beetroot and orange-cured salmon) or the Chicken Waffle (a refined take on American soul food!) finished off with all new dessert creations.

If there was ever an excuse to try out the two Michelin-starred Yat Tung Heen, then the carefully curated nine-course Father’s Day menu is it.
