Get your child’s early years education off to a creative start.

We’ve only got one planet and with climate change an ever pressing topic, the importance of raising awareness has never been more important. What better way to introduce your little eco-warriors to the three R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle) than through something they love – toys! And as the World also evolves in the world of technology, learning what goes on behind the tech-curtain will also be a valuable tool for children of today. Which is why Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong is combining both in a fun and interactive way, encourage kids to “Be a Little Innovator” through its Experience Day!

Understanding the importance of looking after the environment, while growing young minds in an ever-evolving digital world, the Experience Day will definitely grab your kids attention. Open to children aged 2 to 5 (and completely free!) they’ll unlock robotics and coding fun, as well as looking after the planet by learning to make their own toys from recycled materials. The workshops take pointers from the Early Years programme at Malvern College Preschool (which opens its new Island West campus in Sai Ying Pun in August 2019), focusing on the importance of early years education by laying a firm foundation for each child’s future learning and success.

Malvern College Pre-School Experience Day

Take a look around your house, there’s probably a treasure trove of resources just waiting to be discovered! Rather than sending them straight to the trash, consider saving cardboard, plastic bottles and empty cereal boxes, because Malvern College Pre-School is going to show your little inventors how much fun they can be! Using a whole range of household items, children will have the opportunity to discover fun and inventive ways to make recycled toys, games, and decorative artefacts (birthday gifts for the grandparents sorted).

Kids will also have the chance to discover the basic concepts of coding through the specially designed programme that’s guaranteed to be fun for even the youngest of learners. Getting an early taster towards their first steps in coding, kids will be introduced to the craft in a way they’ll understand. They don’t need to bring anything more than a great imagination and curiosity to join in with these fun and creative sessions. Plus, the workshops are also a great opportunity to get to know other children as they bond and learn together through play and experimentation.
