Sassy Scoop: Blooming Bellies by Annerley – Everything you need to know about natural birth in Hong Kong

Any mama will tell you that even the best-laid birth plans can sometimes go awry, and that’s exactly why it’s so important to be well-informed and prepared for D (delivery!)-Day!

Here at Sassy Mama, we’ve long been fans of Annerley’s informative, reassuring and, most of all, factual classes, so we were really interested to hear about their upcoming Blooming Bellies event. With a range of guest speakers covering topics as diverse as obstetrics, Chinese medicine, home birthing and midwifery, this event will cover the ins and outs of everything you need to know to prepare for a calm, natural entry into the world for your child.

The speakers on the night will be: Gianna Buonocore, a Hong Kong-registered traditional Chinese medicine physician who practices at IMI and Matilda International Hospital; Arden Wong, a Homeopath and natural medicine practitioner; Michell Huang, wife to Arden Wong and a mum who has experienced home birth here in Hong Kong; and finally Hulda Thorey, midwife and director at Annerley who will share not only her professional view on natural birth, but also her personal experiences as a mum of four. This promises to be a fascinating and educational evening not to be missed for anyone planning a natural delivery in Hong Kong.
