Inspired by a friend’s premature twins, who looked so tiny and fragile at the start of their lives but quickly grew up into strong healthy children thanks to their mother’s care, Maria wanted to document the total pure love between parent and child – and Maria Z Photography was born!

Maria’s photos freeze those special moments forever more – be it your ready-to-burst pregnant belly (35 weeks is when it’s in the best shape!) or your just-born bub! Newborn sessions are always done in the comfort of your home, where your little one will feel at their most comfortable, and can include as many or as few other members of the family as you like – even the family pet!

Maria’s style of photography is pure, sweet and simple. It’s all about capturing the intimacy between parents and baby, and the baby’s natural beauty – so minimal props or colourful costumes, just your bub as nature intended! The sooner the picture gets taken, the better – babies around the 2 week mark sleep longer and are ‘more curlable’!

Meanwhile, Maria’s maternity photos all have a gentle touch and capture the expectation, happiness and, of course, that special shape at that special stage in life!
