Summary
SKIP is a community school. Its team of staff get to know the whole family, as well as the individual child, and the school has an open door policy encouraging parents and visiting family members to join in.
SKIP has lovely facilities, in particular outdoors. The soft fall playground is shaded by UV sun shades, there is a covered arts and crafts area for the many tactile activities, painting and water play that is on offer. To the rear of the classroom is a large sand pit and sensory garden where children can dig, plant and water. The bright and spacious classroom is well equipped with a wide variety of educational resources and adorned with children’s colourful artwork.

KINDERGARTEN:
Criteria: Children need to speak and understand English at a level appropriate to their age.
Selection: By date of application with priority to siblings and children transferring from playgroup.
Interviews: Children not already attending SKIP will be invited to a play session to assess their level of English and readiness to join a kindergarten programme
