Room to Read’s International Literacy Day
In celebration of International Literacy Day, global nonprofit Room to Read has a super exciting event to raise funds and awareness for its literacy programs across ten low-income countries in Asia and Africa! Come and join their ‘Books for Breakfast‘ event hosted by INFINITI LAB HK with breakfast brought to you by Capco. Don’t worry, mamas this one’s not exclusively for teachers – parents and little ones are invited, too!

Baby Clinic with Sofie Jacobs from Urban Hatch
Shame there are no shortcuts when it comes to parenting… but if you’re on the hunt for answers to questions and concerns regarding mamahood, fear not! Sofie from Urban Hatch, a registered midwife, will be having a one-on-one private baby consulting session. Enjoy 30 minutes of her expert advice whether it’s from sleeping issues to teething, Sofie is there to help make parenting a little easier. Phew!

Hong Kong Creative Story Telling Contest
Looking for an opportunity to showcase your tiny tot’s talents? Book Talk English Learning Centre will be hosting a Creative Story Telling Contest for your 3 to 8 year olds, and the theme for this year’s contest is: Fairy Tale! This will be the perfect opportunity to expose your kiddo’s talents and build their confidence along the way.
*application deadline is on Tuesday, 6 September.
When: Sunday, 11 September

How much: $280 for each participant
Kids Healthy Baking at Potato Head
Let your budding chefs go wild at Potato Head’s creative kids workshops! These fun-filled sessions are an interactive way of getting little ones excited about healthy food and cooking – two things a mama can definitely get on board with. They’ve created 45 minute sessions for kids (and parents!) to learn how easy it is to make tasty cookies. Did we mention that these sweet treats are vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free?
When: Saturday, 10 September, from 10am to 11am, and 11am to 12 noon
Where: Potato Head, G/F, 100 Third Street, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong
How much: The workshop costs $258 per child and includes a drink for an accompanying adult from I Love You So Coffee.
