Don’t miss out on what is set to be the best KidsFest yet!
Christmas has gone, we’ve partied away the new year and now we’re looking for ways to beat the January blues and perk the kids up after the craziness of the holiday season. Enter: KidsFest – the family festival of the year that brings world-class theatre to the youngsters of Hong Kong.
But like every year, it’s always best to pick up your tickets quick sharp because we can guarantee that shows will sell out. Yet, still, there are some mums and dads that don’t heed our warning (so not sassy guys) and scramble to get tickets for hits like We’re Going on a Bear Hunt only to be left disappointed. So, don’t be that parent and don’t miss out on what is set to be the biggest and best incarnation of KidsFest yet!
As always there’s a show for all ages. For kids ages 3 and up, you can’t go wrong with classics like The Tiger Who Came to Tea and The Gruffalo (with special performances over CNY!). For older children, there are more age-appropriate shows such as Private Peaceful and Wilde Creatures. In Wilde Creatures (suitable for theatre-goers ages 5 and up), a live band of storytelling musicians bring characters from Oscar Wilde’s classic fairy tales together in a completely original show which promises lots of laughs for both kids and parents. Private Peaceful, an adaption of Micheal Morpurgo’s novel set during the first world war, is the heartfelt tale of Private Tommo Peaceful, a young soldier reflecting back on his life and the battles and injustices of war that brought him to the front line (suitable for ages 8 and older).
These shows are perfect for introducing your little ones to the magic of live theatre but tickets are selling fast and the festival is only days away – so act now!
