Planet Walala – A vibrant maze that kids will love
We love Hong Kong Arts Month, but it’s not always easy to drag our kids along for art shows. Instead of stressing about them touching (or heavens forbid – spoiling!) expensive gallery art, take them to this colourful public art show that they will love. Created by French artist, Camille Walala, this maze of colours features two public installations and a solo art exhibition. This weekend, you can also enrol for the family art jamming sessions and Insta360 photography classroom.

Care Bears – Dopamine booster for kids and adults this weekend
Promising to release the happy hormone, dopamine, Care Bears Dopamine Palette pop-up store is up and running at K11 Art Mall. More than 80 Care Bears merchandise are being sold here, from rugs to notebooks, USB night lights, bags, and plush dolls (but of course!). There’s also a meet-and-greet session with Cheer Bear and Grumpy Bear this weekend exclusively. Spending for more than $250 at the pop-up store will earn your little bears gifts like stickers, magnets and photo frames, so come prepared to spend!

Creepy Crawlies Academy & Forest Masquerade – Animal adventures this weekend
Citywalk will be co-hosting the “Creepy-Crawly Academy” with the Hong Kong Beetles Research Association. Children will get to see and touch various reptiles and insects that are less common in Hong Kong, such as the ball python, Hercules beetle, horned frog, lizard and gecko. There are more family-centric activities this Easter weekend, such as the Forest Masquerade, where children and parents design animal masks and use them for a performance.

teamLab: Continuous At Art@Harbour 2024 – Fascinating waterfront art display
Have you spotted the giant egg-shaped structures near the Central and Western District Promenade? This spectacular exhibit is part of Art@Harbour 2024 and is created in collaboration with the renowned artist collective TeamLab. Admission is free but pre-registration is required (and you’d better hurry as mamas and kids are making a beeline for it!). If you don’t get admission, find a vantage point close by in the evening and wait for your kids to be wowed as it transforms into this stunning piece of artwork.

Pop-up Performances – WestK FunFest 2024
