The annual Ivy Ball is Hong Kong Ivy League community’s biggest event of the year that has attracted hundreds of guests since launching in 1988. The Ivy Ball has been organized annually by the Hong Kong alumni clubs of Ivy League member schools – Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton and Yale – and MIT – since 1989. These schools are recognized globally among the most respected institutions in the world. More than 600 Hong Kong-based alumni of these leading universities, together with their close family and associates, are expected to attend. As in each of the previous years, it promises to be an evening of fun, fond memories, new friends, and even a bit of friendly competition.
This year it is UPenn’s turn! This year marks its 30th anniversary and promises to be bigger, more glamorous and the most awesome of them all so make sure you save your spot before tickets sell out! Happening on Saturday, June 16th at HKCEC, we will be celebrating the night under the theme “Party like it’s 1988”, commemorating the first year Ivy Ball started. Expect amazing performances, hours of wining and dining and endless dancing! Partners and non-Penn friends are all welcome! This is a black-tie or themed attired event so knock yourself out with gowns if they’re at the back of the closet.
