Marketing Manager For Sassy Hong Kong
The Marketing Manager will assist the Hong Kong office by supporting its current events, giveaways and cross-marketing activities and by planning new marketing initiatives to drive more traffic to the site. There will also be scope for business analysis, stats reporting, social media management and more. Main responsibilities include: Implement a digital marketing strategy that covers all aspects of the digital footprint for Sassy and Sassy Mama. Work with internal and external teams to design, deliver and measure digital initiatives to drive traffic to all platforms. Track Sassy Media Group’s digital performance by analysing analytics, measuring growth and identifying improvement areas by the examination of weekly and monthly performance across countries and sites. Identify areas for digital improvement, whether it be in the departments of Editorial, Design, Development or Partnerships which could lead to improved growth and work with country focused teams to implement improvements. Increasing traffic, and monetisation opportunities, among key demographics via paid marketing channels (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Google Adwords, YouTube, SEO, SEM). Event Management: Helping to plan all aspects of Sassy and Sassy Mama events including scheduling, finding venue, confirming sponsors, plan online promotion, manage RSVPs and on site management. Giveaways; implement and oversee the various stages of all Sassy and Sassy Mama giveaways such as web communications, social media campaigns, banner ads etc. that are involved in the project Project Management; devise new marketing projects, implement and oversee the various stages such as web communications, social media campaigns, banner ads etc. that are involved in the project. Social Media Management; ensuring that Sassy and Sassy Mama are correctly represented on social media, plan campaigns and monitor success, implement and monitor social media advertising campaigns and more. Cross-Marketing; ensure Sassy and Sassy Mama content is posted to various relevant online forums and blogs as well as submitting articles to various websites, companies etc. in the form of content sharing to drive traffic to our site. In addition, the Marketing Manager will: Consolidate and analyze financial and performance data (sales, inventory, etc.) to develop insights and recommendations Facilitate discussions on business opportunities and challenges as part of an annual business planning cycle. Keep abreast of market trends, demand fluctuations and pricing strategies of competition. Develop and implement an annual marketing plan . Work together with the Partnership Team to plan and develop promotional material, including media kits, rate cards, leaflet, client newsletters, client reports, sales pitches, etc. Work together with the Partnerships team to define and communicate the product value propositions. Work with the Managing Director to develop and distribute executive messages, prepare internal memos, monthly analytics reports, etc. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Essential to the job: Knowledge. Degree level education in relevant field. Strong knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) Demonstrate experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email and social media. Skills Adaptable and creative. Effective communication. Strong planning and organising skills. Ability to manage time well. A deep love for crunching numbers and analyzing data – the tech side of marketing. A happy, sociable disposition and a strong team collaboration ethic A strategic and visionary thinker when it comes to social media Fluent in written and spoken English (native level). Creating inspiring and engaging materials, with a special focus on video and social media, which connect to the Sassy and Sassy Mama audience. The Art Director role is to safeguard the integrity of the SMG family and brands whilst constantly seeking opportunities to delight and excite our readers. Whilst this role is predominantly Hong Kong focused, there would be an element of ensuring consistency with the design direction of our other sites. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Supporting the Editorial and Partnerships teams to create beautiful graphics, videos and illustrations for use at events, on social media and on the websites • Provide annual design strategy and direction for Sassy Media Group brands • Providing oversight and quality control over all visual communications, images and social media postings used by both Sassy and Sassy Mama • Helping to support the overall team in managing the process of new developments projects from initial concept and UI design through execution • Liaising with the whole Sassy team on website technical difficulties and questions, being a knowledge base when it comes to how our sites work and trouble-shooting • Providing support and constructive feedback to Editorial team on image selection, hero image selection and social media postings • Creating social media magic by designing beautiful pieces that resonate with our online audience such as inspirational quotes/graphics for social media postings and free downloadables for our newsletter subscribers • Overseeing eDM communications with all our databases, constantly looking for how we can improve our offerings • Designing hero images for roundups, scoops, giveaways and event invitations for Sassy and Sassy Mama events • Designing and updating media kits and corporate documents (when needed) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Education & Experience • Degree level education in relevant field (Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Advertising) • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects) Skills & Competencies • An ability to tell stories through Videography and Photography, either with direct shooting & editing experience, or managing freelancers to achieve the same • An eye and passion for Social Media to elevate our brand presence • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality • Ability to positively interact, communicate and present ideas with clear design rationales • Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines • A strategic thinker, who can understand the collaborative needs between Editorial and Sales teams • Creative and self-motivated, always on the lookout to help grow the Sassy Media Group brand in fresh and innovative ways • A happy, sociable disposition and a strong team collaboration ethic • A love for all things Hong Kong and a desire to explore more • Fluent in written and spoken English (Native Level) To apply please send your CV and cover letter to [email protected]
