In celebration of International Literacy Day, global nonprofit Room to Read has a super exciting event to raise funds and awareness for its literacy programs across ten low-income countries in Asia and Africa!
Come and join their ‘Books for Breakfast‘ event hosted by INFINITI LAB HK with breakfast brought to you by Capco. Where student leaders from schools around Hong Kong (this event is not exclusively for teachers – parents and little ones are invited) will gather (8:30 to 10am) and join in to meet Room to Read’s founder John Wood and writer ambassador Nury Vittachi to learn about global illiteracy, and to develop an action plan for their school communities by taking ‘Leadership for Literacy’.
RSVP for the breakfast at [email protected] or call 6626 7988. For more details about the fundraising campaign email [email protected].
Secondary students in your family? Share this event with your son or daughter and their teachers! The ideal number of students from supporting schools across Hong Kong is 6 students for every one teacher or parent per school. Time to get involved, mamas!
