We have huge affection for this restaurant, situated on the top of the Jumbo floating restaurant. It was at the Jumbo that tourists ate bad Chinese food in the seventies, but the takeover of the ‘top deck’ by the Café Deco Group (Sydney hotspot Café Sydney is one of their places too) meant food was suddenly allowed to speak for itself. Nobody can throw together the perfect surf and turf and tandoori grill quite like these chefs. Kids are catered for with a children’s entertainer (and playroom!) and if you ever tire of the food, which you won’t, there’s always the luxurious wine list and the view of all those gorgeous boats to fall back on.
