Calling all cat lovers…check out DK Cuppa Tea’s newest tea set that’ll impress any cat lady. Me-ow!
Spring has sprung and with the new season comes change. Fashion changes, the weather changes and there are new menus everywhere, including at DK Cuppa Tea. We popped over to the Sheung Wan branch to check out their new afternoon tea menu… think an idyllic picnic in the garden, themed around playful cats.
Right at the back of their store-slash-café is a beautiful green space, where you can have a seat on the faux grass rug and enjoy a relaxing one-on-one catch up session over a picnic. You’re served delicious sweet and savoury goodies (many of which have cats imprinted on them… meow!) in a giant picnic box… you definitely won’t be hungry as there’s plenty to go around!
Quench your thirst with a mixed berry tea, sate your appetite with lobster pancakes, sausage rolls, crunchy foie gras coins and scones! Those scones were buttery and crumbly all at the same time. For a sweet treat, indulge in the chocolate and vanilla profiteroles (of which I used to eat plenty of at uni!) and the perfect macarons (the matcha one was lovely!) – they definitely had a good crunch.
At $298 per person (minimum two people), this is one of the more reasonably-priced afternoon teas out there. And one of the best bits is, you can take the whole picnic box outdoors (for a $600 deposit), and enjoy it outdoors!
Available until Thursday, 30 June, 2016 at DK Cuppa Tea in Soho and Sheung Wan.
