Hagar International and The Sovereign Art Foundation (SAF) have worked with Hong Kong-based artists, Tanya Bennett and Mr. Marc Standing to lead creative art workshops in Cambodia for child survivors of extreme abuse. Through mask-making, the young boys and girls were able to express themselves in new and creative ways. The event features photography prints of masks as a showcase of their survival. Tanya will also be sharing about her experience to help us learn a little more about some of the issues happening in our world today.
Hagar International is a Hong Kong registered charity that is committed to the recovery and economic empowerment of women and child survivors of severe abuse, particularly human trafficking, domestic violence, and exploitation. Hagar’s programs are currently in Cambodia, Afghanistan, and Vietnam. They provide survivors with holistic care including refuge, trauma counseling, education, and vocational training.
