Come and enjoy a fireside chat with the inspirational Olivia Giles OBE, quadruple amputee and founder of the Edinburgh-based 500 Miles charity, as she shares her incredible story.
Olivia contracted meningitis in 2002, and was forced to have her hands and feet amputated to save her life. As a result of this life-changing experience, she set out to help people who had no hope of the kind of assistance she was able to receive, establishing 500 Miles, a charity that provides prostheses to disabled adults and children in developing countries. Recently, Olivia was presented with the Robert Burns Humanitarian Award.
Olivia’s inspirational story will be accompanied by a night of entertainment, a three-course dinner and free flow drinks, a live auction in aid of 500 Miles, and a fun, but challenging quiz!
