Have a birthday party planned for your little one? Or are you celebrating a milestone with your family? While it’s true our smartphone cameras are getting better and better, some memories are just too precious not to require a special photo shoot. That’s why we’ve rounded up some of Hong Kong’s best family photographers. From cake smashes to underwater photoshoots, these photographers’ skills will leave you oohing and aahing with nostalgia for years to come.
This husband-wife team are quite the power couple in photography! Rosa founded the studio back in 1999, then 10 years later Daniel joined the ranks when they were expecting their first child. For the last 20 years, this modern portrait studio has been constantly evolving, shooting different genres including children and family, maternity, newborn, headshots, personal branding, wedding and contemporary beauty portraits. Besides photography, the studio creates innovative and beautiful ways to display your images with archival fine art albums, tabletop pieces and wall art. They are known for shooting large families, often straddling multiple generations. They have an innate understanding of how to bring out and capture the best expressions and reactions from different members of the group.
Mamas will also be pleased to know that they recently also launched their contemporary beauty portrait line. Rosa and Daniel will have their trusted makeup artist, hairstylist and lighting assistant on hand for a Vanity Fair style inspired photo shoot to capture the most stunning version of you (we all deserve a bit of glamour after all!).

Now in her sixth year of business in Hong Kong, Janelle is a specialist in maternity, newborn and lifestyle family photos. Her style is to keep it clean and minimal, with a focus on shooting the subject in natural light and environment. Adopting a fly on the wall approach, Janelle observes, then documents her subjects’ daily lives. She’s proud to have been rewarded for her efforts with repeat business, as happy customers often call on her again to record other special moments (including pregnancy, newborn shoots and major milestone birthdays). Janelle is careful to limit her bookings every month so she can focus on producing the best quality work for each client – you’re sure to get close personal attention! You can get a luxury photo album (complete with a fine Italian linen cover) and box to keep your precious snaps safe, and all photos are printed on US archival paper. Contact directly to learn more about the fees and packages available.
Mention this article when you book a session before Saturday, 31 August to receive a free fine art canvas print on select photography packages.
