One small step for your little one, one giant leap for child-kind! When it comes to waving farewell to kindergarten and starting Primary School, we know what you’re thinking: “how is my baby old enough for this?!” At a time when you’re not quite sure who’ll deal with the transition better (you or your youngster), it’s best to make sure you both feel ready by preparing properly in advance.
Stamford American not only gives students from ages 5 to 18 a world-class international education, but it also nurtures the skills needed for the changes that lie ahead. Knowing this will be a big adjustment for many, it invites parents to join the free workshop: “Preparing Your Child for Primary School: Tips for a Smooth Transition.” The one-hour session is lead by Stamford’s experienced school counsellor, Mia Nortje, who’ll offer a variety of tips. Whether your child is starting a new school next year, or in the future, the session covers areas of development to encourage their readiness, while touching on fields of learning such as fine motor skills, literacy and more. Book now! And check out the school’s other upcoming events.
