You can enjoy a complete family staycation!
With travel restrictions remaining in place, our dream vacations are, unfortunately, looking less and less likely. However, while our freedom to travel outside of Hong Kong may have been compromised, we can still experience rest, relaxation and even luxury in the form of a staycation! Many Hong Kongers are taking advantage of the city’s hotels and resorts to experience the holiday life close to home. But how about a staycay in a pet-friendly hotel?
For many of us, pets are a part of the family. Having a loyal companion is wonderful for most of the year, but it can make staycations a little challenging. Luckily for pet owners, that is now changing thanks to an increasing number of Hong Kong hotels becoming pet-friendly! Staycationing with your pet (especially if it’s not too big) is highly enjoyable and can be simple and relatively low-budget.
Even if not for a staycation and you’re simply looking for a place to stay in between switching apartments, there’s an option for you. You no longer need to worry about dropping off your pet at a kennel or shelter or convincing your friends to pet-sit for a few days. These hotels will allow you to bring a pet, often for only a small fee. Some even go the extra mile for the animal in your life. Without further ado, here are some of Hong Kong’s best budget and premium pet-friendly hotels.
Editor’s Note: The situation in Hong Kong regarding closures and restrictions on opening hours due to the coronavirus is constantly evolving. Many businesses are taking extra precautions, but please make sure you follow the latest government advice and stay home if you have recently travelled overseas, have interacted with anyone who has been away, or display any symptoms. Also, check directly with each hotel prior to booking to avoid disappointments on deals or facilities.
Budget Pet-Friendly Hotels
