Ready, set, flex!
Whether you’re a mama or a mama-to-be, we all know how important preparation is. With advice coming at us from every direction, all we’re really looking for is a calming, open environment where we can relax and unwind. What if we told you, you could get that AND prep your (already exhausted) body for pregnancy, all at the same time?
That’s right, we’ve got a one-stop solution for you right in the hub of central with Flex Studio. They’re working with Urban Hatch, a Hong Kong midwifery service, to bring expecting mamas and mamas-to-be two unique workshops!
The first session will be held on Monday, 14 November, and is targeted specifically to help us get through the long 9-month process! From 2:45 to 4:45, ‘Prepare Your Body for Labour and Birth’ uses movement, breathing, and exercise to help your little one get in the correct position before birth. As an added bonus, all exercises can be safely performed at home until the day of the delivery. Oh and the workshop also walks us through myths and truths of all the topics we actually need to discuss (like perineal tears and incisions; and caesarean sections).
‘Recovery After Birth’, the second workshop will be held on Monday, 5 December at the same time, and is set out to offer a helping hand to new mums in Hong Kong. Perfect. By combining both, talks and key exercises for post-natal recovery, this session is the place to get all the key advice on optimal nutrition after birth. From the baby’s routines and how to establish one to breast and bottle feeding, mamas are invited to bring their new born along!
