Pedder Red

In need of a pick-me-up? Skip on down to Pedder Red’s pop up shop at Shoespace this week and feast your eyes on their latest spring/summer 2013 collection. It’s definitely one not to miss. And they stock sizes up to 41 for those of us of the Big Foot tribe. Here are my top picks:

Flats for now

PicMonkey Collage1

From left to right: loving the homage to Roger Vivier $895 (available also in black and nude patent), Perspex is a big trend this season and this could be the perfect way to pull it off at $795, and slippers are also one to bag, but if you’re not brave enough for the glitz of these, they come in a whole range of colours from subtle to not so subtle, including snake print and floral at $988.

Flats for summer

PicMonkey Collage2

From left to right: you can never have enough sandals for the HK summer. This gold studded pair are also available in black at $695, diamonds really are a girl’s best friend, bling up your feet with these beauties, all at $895.

Wedges

PicMonkey Collage3

From left to right: if it’s a little height that you’re after, these are a great option and will be super comfy around town with the cork wedge at $995, and if you want even more height these could be the answer at $895 and $1095.

Heels

PicMonkey Collage4

From left to right: it’s that Perspex trend again at $895, the sheer delight of glitter and suede is so, so good (also available in black suede with gold and a brown suede with gold) at $995 and my picks wouldn’t be complete without a little snake, after all ‘tis the year of the snake (in case it had escaped you), at $1295.

Did you know that a selection of Pedder Red shoes are also available online via the Lane Crawford website? Aside from the pop up shop, Pedder Red is also located in Harbour City, but we say bring back the old Wellington Street store!

Spring Looks

What with the weather being all over the shop at the moment and this winter being so mild I’m feeling that spring vibe already. Here are a few little items that hit the Instant Goddess radar this week:

Photo 1 SpringLooks1Top left to right: Neon bracelets $318 each from Distinguished Designs on Etsy, Studded high heel sandal $699 Zara, Stone slab bib necklace $340, Anthropologie, Yellow sun-shower earrings $340, Anthropologie.

Bottom left to right: Anja blouse $365, Monki, Straight cut pleats dress, Mango $399, Stefani bracelet, Monki $80, Coloured methacrylate box bag $299, Zara.

As the thermometer goes up and down like a yo-yo, layering is key, so here are some looks that will work for now:

Photo 2 SpringLooks2

From left to right: look 1 beaded embellishment cotton T-shirt $299, Mango, blue palazzo trousers $339, Mango; look 2 combination crochet blouse $599, vintage style denim shorts $399 both Zara;

look 3 striped jacket $999, orange t-shirt $199, slim fit white trousers $459, black wedge ankle strap $699 all Zara; look 4 boucle cropped blazer $539, short sleeved sweater $199, stretch jersey tapered trousers $399, leather ankle strap sandals $669, metallic band clutch $269 all Mango and last but not least, studded messenger bag $499, Zara.

Object of Desire

There always has to be one Object of Desire (well truthfully there is normally more than one on Instant Goddess’ fashion horizon), and this week it’s Shourouk. Not for wallflowers, this jewellery is big, bold and beautifully bling. The Leitmotiv pendant has Instant Goddess written all over it, if you ask me, and I don’t mind which colour either.

ShouroukLeitmotiv green

Shourouk Leitmotive pendant available in store at Harvey Nichols ($5500) or online from Net-a-Porter (approx $3300) – you know which one to choose!

And if it’s more reasonably-priced bling you’re after then look no further than Mango’s latest additions to its S/S collection, available online from its Hong Kong store.

Bling it UpTop from left to right: crystal cluster bracelet $269, crystal and chains necklace $469, earrings $299, Bottom from left to right: chandelier crystals necklace $269 and crystal cluster choker $399 all Mango.

Midweek meal inspiration

Untitled Image

This week it’s Chicken Tikka wraps, courtesy of our friends at Women’s Weekly. The accompanying salad of cucumber and yoghurt is light and refreshing and you could even omit the wrap bit if you want to go down the no carb route and add extra leaves to the salad combo. Simple, delicious and low fat… what more could an Instant Goddess wish for (apart from a bucket-load of cash to run down the shops with pronto?!) Full recipe here.

Yogi tea saying of the week: ‘“No-one is to blame” is an aspect of humility that enables everyone to move forward.’

Instant Goddess saying of the week: ‘Studded Zara messenger bag, where art thou?’

Until next week Goddesses, remember you are ALWAYS worth it! XX
