A fun, safe and socially-distanced celebration for the family.
If there’s anything this year has taught us, it’s that we need to be adaptable and resilient. And in this, our kids have been showing us the way. They’ve taken school closures in their stride, mastered online learning, dealt with cancelled birthday celebrations and more without a whimper of protest. Now as schools close for the Christmas break, we think they have earned themselves the right to a fun-filled celebration. And so, West Kowloon Cultural District is offering just that as its much-anticipated Robot Dance Party turns into an online Robot HOUSE Party!
Families are invited to join internationally acclaimed DJ, Kid Koala (who’s collaborated with popular musicians including Radiohead, the Beastie Boys, DJ Shadow and Jack Johnson) for a one-hour Robot House Party. While Kid Koala plays a live DJ set via Zoom, your kids can go wild and let their hair down as they make their own robot suits (they’ll receive clear and detailed instructions right after you’ve purchased your tickets that’ll have them counting down the days in excitement!). Expect loads of fun as MCs lead your little robots in crazy dance moves from the likes of R2D2, C3PO and even Wall-E!
Keeping the kids occupied is always one of the toughest tasks on weekends. But with Kid Koala spinning upbeat electronic music for this robot extravaganza, you can expect your kids to burn off their excess energy (seriously, how do they do it?!) in a fun and creative way. And once they have settled down for a nap, perhaps parents can get their own party started!
