This season hair accessories have really grown up, and they’re just perfect for us mamas who often don’t have as much time as we would like to style our hair or even wash it at all (in this case make Batiste your best friend)… Here’s the Sassy Mama run-down of the top 5 hair accessories to stock up on for summer… As usual, they’re all available online for time-crunched mums.

Wanting to tap into the tie-die trend but not feeling it head-to-toe? Well these super-cute (but probably ludicrously overpriced) little hair ties will take you from yoga class to health food shop in style. Perfect for peacing out in Phuket too. One love.

Fascinators are so beyond over, but this bow headband from Ban.do will add a bit of fun chic to an otherwise uninspired LBD-type wedding outfit. A slick of red lipstick’s all you then need to dress it up, and sling on some pearls for the evening.

If you’re the boho type, this stretchy sequined headband from Eugenia Kim will fit the bill – top of my wishlist, it’s just a question of deliberating between black and copper. Decisions, decisions!

These Adia Kibur jumbo hair clips from Taiwanese designer, Nadine Lee, are just too much fun with an almost Alice in Wonderland appeal. I’m not sure quite how practical they’d be for actual styling, but if you’ve got long, thick hair (so not me then), they’d be great to pop in your purse to whip out when you might otherwise end up using a pencil.
