The Easter holidays are creeping up on us mamas faster than we think… but forget frantically planning that Easter egg hunt for now and start planning this week’s diary instead!

Make ‘em laugh
Wouldn’t you like a night out where you can relax, kick back in a kid-free zone and have a good laugh with your girlfriends?! Well we think this is a GREAT idea – Women Come First Comedy Nights, a stand-up comedy showcase where only girls are allowed to come! The very first one is this Wednesday, with five of HK’s funniest comics on the line-up, plus special prizes and girlie gifts on the night; then after 10pm, the dance-floor opens and it’s open to all. Perfect for putting a mid-week smile on your face and you never know… maybe it’ll encourage you to take to the stage and crack a few jokes come the next one! When: 28 March, 8-10pm
Where: Likuid, 58-62 D’Aguilar Street, Central, Hong Kong
How much: $150 (includes one standard drink), for more info

Photo opportunities galore, this is certain to make you feel that spring has finally sprung!

May the odds be ever in your favour
It’s official… HUNGER GAMES fever has swept Sassy HQ and we have been unable to think of anything else for days! Having become addicted to the books (finished in three days flat), it’s now time for the film – starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and obligatory hot guy, Liam Hemsworth. For the uninitiated, it’s a post-apocalyptic tale of teenagers killing other teenagers in the most vicious reality tv yet… there’s thrills, spills, kills, action, sci-fi, romance and probably a pretty dress or two. Not one for tiny tots but teens are going to lap it up – and we can’t wait either!!!

When: Out now
Where: All good cinemas!

P.S. Of course we haven’t forgotten… there’s the small matter of the Rugby Sevens this weekend! For any mamas Sevens-bound, come check out Sassy’s round-up of the hottest Sevens events in town, plus their guide of tips and tricks for surviving the Sevens Sassy-style!

If you’ve got a tip for an upcoming event you’d like us to include on The Weekender, email [email protected] to clue us in!
