What age can babies start playgroup?

That depends on the playgroup! Some start as early as 6 weeks (like PIP and Spring) or the ‘age of 0’ like Baumhaus and some community playgroups. Meanwhile, others start at several months or even 1 or 2 years. It all depends on the playgroup’s specific programme, staff and facilities.

How much does playgroup cost in Hong Kong?

Community playgroups — often held at churches — are significantly cheaper, and usually just cost enough to cover the expenses of the playgroup as they’re usually led by volunteers. Whereas others are in the hundreds per session, or only charge per term and therefore you’re looking at a lump sum of $2,000+. Our recommendation is to try as many taster and trial sessions as you can with your little one before you commit, you never know which you’ll love the most until you get some hands-on experience!
