La Fabrique Christmas Tech Camps
Have you got a tech-savvy tyke at home, mama? Perhaps they’re keen to learn a little more about technology and gain some hands-on experience? Well, La Fabrique is hosting an exciting camp that’ll give those ages four through to six the chance to experience the world of tech first-hand! During their three hour session, little ones will mix coding, tamper with robotics and electrics and learn heaps of strategies for solving an array of problems. They will also be encouraged to design a series of projects and communicating ideas that’ll broaden their skill sets and increase their confidence in the subject. The perfect New Year hobby!
When: Monday, 21 December – Wednesday, 23 December or Monday, 28 December – Wednesday, 30 December 2015, 9.30am-12.30pm

The Nutcracker
Occasionally us mamas like to be a little bit fancy and cultured, especially between all the kids’ Peppa Pig-themed parties and washing spit-up off our coats. We’re on the count down to Christmas now so lets take a break from wrapping presents and wrestling advent calendars out of hands who want to open ‘just one more day’. After all, Christmas wouldn’t really be Christmas without a performance of The Nutcracker after all. If you have a little lady who loves the ballet or you’re just in need of some relaxing ‘me time’, be sure to grab a ticket for the most spell-binding and magical performance of the year that truly does capture the essence of the festive period. Udderbelly Festival
The iconic, upside down purple cow is back on the harbour front, concealing huge talent and family entertainment fit for all! From dance to theatre and music to comedy, keep your eyes peeled for big names fresh from the Edinburgh Festival with new acts each week. From Wednesday, 14 – Friday, 18 December we’re looking forward to Animate it! Both mamas and little one’s will join world renowned Aaardman Animation in the premiere of his brand new family show! Pick up some top animation tips, discover the science behind the movies and join them live on stage! Perfect for any movie-loving mamas among us.

Christmas Cookies Galore at Complete Deelite
Turn those Pinterest-inspired dreams into a reality and learn to bake batches of awesome holiday cookies that are a perfect and inexpensive Christmas gift, or super impressive sitting on your counter as the family arrives! Over the two-day course, you’ll learn to create an assortment of delicious cookies, on day one working with red velvet and swirly sugar cookies and day two how to work with royal icing. You’ll be piping like a pro in no time, mama!
