Enjoy brunch in peace: 208 Duocento Otto gets a playroom!

You’ll all know by now that the search for great family-friendly restaurants is never-ending in Hong Kong! Is it really so hard to get both a lovely child-friendly environment AND good food under one roof?! Well, we’ve just heard news that should make all foodie mamas very happy indeed – 208 Duocento Otto is opening a children’s playroom for its weekend brunch!

We’ve been huge fans of 208’s delicious rustic Italian dishes and comfy classy environment ever since it opened – so the new children’s playroom is really the cherry on top of the cake (or should that be the shavings of parmesan on top of the bolognaise?!). The private playroom is supervised by an adult and will have children’s movies, games and toys to keep your little ones amused, allowing you to sit back, relax and enjoy a leisurely meal (and a cheeky glass of vino!) without worrying about potential food fights or a case of the ‘can’t keep still’s!

There will also be snacks, juices and other soft drinks available for your kids in the playroom – and it’s all on the house too! Families can often feel excluded from some of the city’s hippest dining hotspots, especially with young children in tow, so we think this is a really fantastic idea and hope many more high-profile restaurants follow suit!

So head down to 208 for a scrummy weekend brunch with the kids and experience a true dose of la dolce vita!

208’s private playroom is open from 12-3pm on Saturdays and Sundays for its weekend brunch sitting
