World-Class Shows For Every Age
The international lineup at this year’s WestK FunFest is genuinely spectacular. Australia’s Spare Parts Puppet Theatre brings ‘Rules of Summer’ (Saturday, 28 March to Sunday, 29 March, Xiqu Centre) to life, a dazzling puppetry adaptation of Oscar-winner Shaun Tan’s beloved picture book.
Meanwhile, Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballet brings colour-drenched dance extravaganza ‘Tiger Tale’ (Saturday, 28 March to Sunday, 29 March,) to Freespace, complete with an inclusive ‘Playful Tiger’ version (Wednesday, 25 March to Thursday, 26 March 2026) for neurodivergent young audiences.
Another highlight is Barcelona’s La petita malumaluga, which presents ‘Bob Marley for Babies’ at Freespace (Friday, 3 April to Monday, 6 April). It’s a gorgeous 360-degree immersive experience reimagining reggae classics like One Love for infants and toddlers up to 36 months. Parents, we can guarantee that you’ll love every moment of this as much as your little ones.
Also from Barcelona, circus company Animal Religion brings award-winning interactive show ‘To copy’ to Xiqu Centre (Friday, 3 April to Monday, 6 April) — where children mirror performers’ moves in a joyful celebration of play and connection.
