Bring Me A Book Hong Kong Fundraiser Gala Dinner 2013

Calling All Things Bright and Beautiful… yes that’s you, mama! This is the theme of this year’s Gala Dinner on Friday 4 October 2013 in support of Bring Me A Book Hong Kong.

If you’re not familiar with Bring Me A Book Hong Kong, it’s a wonderful charity that encourages and fosters reading in young children who do not have access to quality books, and who are not read aloud to on a regular basis – right here in Hong Kong. Reading aloud to children has been shown to be critical for school success, and access to quality books is a fundamental part of this. Since its inception in 2006, Bring Me a Book Hong Kong has provided books to more than 64,000 children in low-income areas across the SAR.

The Bring Me A Book Hong Kong Gala Dinner has become one of the most popular events in the city’s fundraising calendar. Held only once every 2 years, The organisers work hard to ensure that it’s one of the best nights out in Hong Kong, with fabulous entertainment including DJs, Mixologists and Magicians! But best of all are the jaw-dropping prizes up for grabs on the evening, including the grand lucky draw prize of 5 nights at the One & Only Resort, Maldives – yes please! And it doesn’t stop there, with over 70 unique auction prizes including holiday packages, helicopter rides, tickets to exclusive sporting events such as VIP tickets to the French Golf Open, designer handbags, fine wines, art work… and the list goes on!

At the event you’ll also have the opportunity to stock up on high quality hardback books for your kids, including hundreds of new titles that you can’t usually find in Hong Kong.

What time: Cocktails & Bookshop commence at 6.30pm; Dinner starts at 7.30pm.

Dress Code: Bright and Beautiful! Smart casual for the gents (no need for suits), and cocktail dresses for the ladies – but preferably bright with a splash of colour for everyone!
