Growing At The Pier Urban Farming Workshop For Kids

Combining food education with some good old fashioned fun in the sun, Rooftop Republic’s urban farming workshop will teach mamas and kids alike how to grow their own food through a series of hands-on farming activities. Dive into learning all about planting seeds and potting, the seasonality of veggies, composting, and how to make natural pesticides and fertilisers. End the day with a “Good or Bad” insect identification game which will have you hunting around the farm for these little pests. A word of warning – your kid will get dirty, so don’t send them in their Sunday best! All kids must be accompanied by at least one adult.
