Combining food education with some good old-fashioned fun in the sun, Rooftop Republic’s urban farming workshop will teach mamas and kids alike how to grow their own food through a series of hands-on farming activities. Dive into learning all about planting seeds and potting, the seasonality of veggies, composting, and how to make natural pesticides and fertilisers. End the day with a “Good or Bad” insect identification game which will have you hunting around the farm for these little pests. A word of warning – your kid will get dirty, so don’t send them in their Sunday best! All kids must be accompanied by at least one adult.
Time: 4pm to 5:30pm
