Hong Kong Academy (HKA) proudly and passionately promises that at this school, how children learn is valued as much as what they learn. At HKA, the majority of the students graduate with three diploma credentials:

1. The unique HKA Diploma – an academic qualification equivalent to a US high school certificate. This allows for subject flexibility and is recognised for international university and college applications.
2. The Global Citizen Diploma (GCD). HKA is the only school in Hong Kong to offer this programme. Going beyond traditional academics, building a GCD portfolio can help students find out more about themselves, what they care about and how they can contribute to society.
3. The internationally recognised IB Diploma, a highly rigorous academic and university preparatory programme.

Graduating with these diplomas sets students on the path to success as they go on to study at leading international universities and secure employment in a wide range of professions.

HKA has over 500 students and yet it promises that every student is recognised as an individual and gets the differentiated learning opportunities they need to flourish. This is thanks to a highly engaged faculty, the way they nurture a close-knit community and an excellent student-teacher ratio.

Besides this, the school’s commitment to sustainability is obvious. It has been awarded Gold status according to the Green Building Council of Hong Kong’s BEAM Plus Rating (all the way through to October 2025!).
