JOIN US: Ronald McDonald House Charity Family Fair!

Parties & PlayPost Category - Parties & PlayParties & Play

For many parents with a seriously ill or injured child, the best medical treatment can only be found far, far from home. Families can be separated for long periods of time, and for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having their mom and dad close by for love and support.

Ronald McDonald House provides a unique service to those with a seriously ill child, providing a home-away-from-home for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost. While they can’t make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, they help lessen the burden by providing a sanctuary so families can stay together during a difficult time so they can focus on healing – together. Every year they help more than 4.5 million families all over the world have the stability and resources they need to help care for their child.

And now, with the Season of Giving upon us, join Sassy Mama on Sunday, 2 December at the Ronald McDonald House in Shatin for a special Family Fair opened to the whole community. Designed to provide an afternoon of fun for the patients and families, thank the many volunteers, and showcase their wonderful facility, it’s a day not to be missed. This free event will offer loads of arts and crafts activities, fun game stalls, a charity sale and a chance to see the house and learn more with a special tour. And 100% of the money raised goes to the operation and maintenance funds for the House.
