Using an inquiry-driven education programme from 5 to 18 years old, Stamford American not only gives students a world-class international education, but they also nurture the social and emotional skills that are needed for when difficult times occur by preparing its pupils for the challenges of adulthood.

Of course, it’s natural for parents to be concerned about your little ones. You can’t be there to protect them 24-7, so understanding how to best equip yourself to support your youngsters as they navigate turbulent situations is key. For this reason, Stamford American is hosting two information sessions called “Bully-proof Your Child: Tips to Raise Resilient Children.”

It’s run by the school’s experienced counsellors, Mia Norte and Ashley Perkins, who have a wealth of knowledge about student well-being. Parents will gain a deeper understanding of the different aspects of bullying and prevention, along with strategies for everyday life, and the best responses in challenging times. The sessions will cover:

•       How to recognise bullying
•       How to report bullying
•       How your child can refuse bullying
•       The power and responsibilities of bystanders
