New Label Alert: HATCH Collection

As soon as we set eyes on HATCH Collection, a gorgeous new line of chic and comfy womenswear from the US, we just knew we HAD to feature it on Sassy Mama.

HATCH isn’t your average range of slightly funkier than usual maternity clothes. Conceived by Ariane Goldman, founder of twobirds Bridesmaid and a new mum herself, it’s a small but perfectly-formed range of wardrobe essentials, designed to flatter every woman before, during and after pregnancy.

All the items have cute names that spell out exactly what makes the outfit great. So The Airplane Dress (USD$278 in silk {above}, $198 in rib knit) is a cosy, casual but chic one-piece that’s loose and comfy for travelling, great for chucking on when inspiration fails or can even be jazzed up with some cool accessories. The Coat ($338) is big enough to button comfortably round any burgeoning bellys, yet has a stylish swing coat silhouette that will still look great long after the bump has gone.

The Date Night Dress (above $278) is simple, understated and sexy, with draping cut-away arms that turn it into a show-stopper, whilst The Errands Dress (below $178) is the ultimate lazy dress, with huge pockets to drop all your essentials in and save you lugging about a bulky handbag.

The Button Down (above silk $248, cotton twill $168) is a fantastic wardrobe staple, great for mix and matching, whilst The Wrap (below $278) is the most versatile item we’ve seen all season – a blanket, a scarf, a shawl, a wrap cardie… whatever it is, it looks stunning!

All HATCH clothes come in a striking range of colours, meaning you can snap up several shades for different occasions (we’re thinking mushroom or charcoal as a versatile neutral, deep red for parties and chic stripes for cool daywear), and in fabrics especially picked for their comfort and fluidity. HATCH also donate $5 per purchase to Every Mother Counts, a charity that works to decrease maternal and infant mortality in underprivileged countries.

If you’re anything like us, you’re probably screaming, ‘That’s all well and good… but do they deliver to Hong Kong?!’ Credit card in hand, we’ve been disappointed so many times before but the answer this time is a resounding YES!

Their website is just up and running and can’t currently process international orders – so instead just email [email protected] with the list of items you want, plus your shipping/billing information and they can process your order with absolutely no fuss whatsoever. All items will be sent by UPS Priority Mail and from our experience so far, customer service is fantastic and they’ll be happy to answer any other questions or queries too.

So rather than buying maternity clothes that you’ll chuck out as soon as the bump bids adieu, we think HATCH’s classic but stylish selection might be a better investment instead!
