Sassy Mama Awards 2014 Party: Celebrating Hong Kong’s best family-friendly businesses!

We here at SM HQ couldn’t be more thrilled with the turnout for our first ever Sassy Mama Awards 2014! The (soon-to-be) annual awards are all about recognising the best businesses, services, gyms, spas, schools, salons and more in Hong Kong (as voted by YOU!) and we’re so grateful to everyone who showed up to our awards party to celebrate! Thank you to Priya Chauhan, an amazing freelance videographer, for compiling this video for us highlighting many of our award winners and polling our guests on their personal definition of what makes a “Sassy Mama“!

With more than 200 guests at the party, our fashion illustrator Kitty Wong (check out her blog here) had her hands busy sketching super neat portraits of our mamas and babies to take home as party gifts! Thank you, Kitty!

No kids’ party is complete without cupcakes! The little ones swarmed our cupcake-making station, getting their hands gooey with an array of colourful sprinkles, chocolate toppers and frosting for their DIY cakes (before gobbling them up, of course!)

This little cupcake monster is quickly slipping into a food coma from the sugary onslaught…

The party wasn’t just for the kids. We primped and pampered our mamas to the max with makeup and nail stations! The lovely ladies from Sense of Touch (winners of our Favourite Mani-Pedi Salon) made sure our mamas left the party with a fresh coat!

Thanks to the winners of our Favourite Spa award, Flawless, for giving expert makeup tips and tricks to our mamas and beautifying them for the day ahead!

Kids had bundles of fun running around barefoot in our designated EtonHouse play area, giving mamas a break to mingle and snack on refreshments, including a giant cupcake tower provided by Sakura Cupcakes.

They also had a hoot hanging with Matt from Rumple and Friends, who provided plenty of kid-friendly entertainment and taught a valuable life lesson: sharing is caring!

We loved how our mamas took the morning to catch up with old friends and meet new ones, as Sassy Mama is all about expanding and supporting the local mum community!
