Brands Boutique is here to save the day with “cut out label” designer dresses from the likes of BCBG and DVF at a fraction of the original price! Even if you can’t be totally sure about the authenticity, who cares when the dresses look this good?! (Psst! If you pay in cash, they’ll normally give you a discount!)

Buttonhole $$

You may miss Buttonhole because it’s so tiny – but despite its size, there are a huge number of gems inside! Although a little cramped, this place is jam-packed with cute fur wraps and designer dresses. Because of factory mistakes (mostly unnoticeable!), these frocks are sold at sweet discounts; just remember to ask for larger sizes as only small sizes are kept on display, and make sure you check out the sale rack!

Walking past J. Verzotti, we were immediately drawn to their fabulous dresses and gowns on display at the window. On one side, there was a dusty pink babydoll dress covered in sparkling rhinestones with a sweetheart neckline – perfect for prom-type parties! And on the other side, there was a wine red maxi evening gown that just oozed pure sophistication and class. On top of it all, there’s even a sale rack with frocks starting from $600. Yes please!

Ona Fashion $$$

Hidden upstairs in a local shopping centre behind Times Square, Ona Fashion is a fantastic boutique that sells gorgeous gowns and party dresses from designer brands, as well as their own designs too. We love their girly and sophisticated dresses that are great for dinner parties or nights out, as well as their long gowns perfect for balls and hitting the red carpet. A cute boutique smack bang on Wellington Street, this place is a haven for “cut out label” designer dresses and skirts, with chic tops and shoes to match. If you don’t see your size, just ask and they can order it for you to arrive in a week!

Another great dress boutique at the back of Causeway Bay, Solid Red carries a range of dresses and gowns from Italy that are pretty but also down-to-earth and not too OTT. A lot more subtle and easy to match than some of the more flamboyant frocks around town, these pieces are great as wardrobe staple dresses that can be worn and re-worn with different accessories or coats to match. We are completely smitten with Sold Red’s fur coats and lovely knitwear!
