Are you in the mood for love yet mamas? Yep, Valentine’s Day is just round the corner… and we’ve got a few ideas for what you might wanna get up to this week. Don’t worry, it’s not all lovey-dovey – after all, there’s only so many pink hearts, red roses and fluffy bunnies a mama can take, right?!

It’s not just for geeks, you know! This year’s Hong Kong Social Media Week is bigger and better than ever before – a whole week of conferences, talks and events covering every aspect of social media. Kick things off with a top secret Youtube family event (intriguing!), get clued up on mummy blogging, learn how to take the coolest pictures with your Smartphone, meet some of HK’s blogging royalty at Bloggers 101, see who comes out on top between fashion bloggers and fashion brands at a quiz night… and don’t forget to check out Sassy Mama’s own Maura at Thursday’s fashion and design talktoo. Tale as old as time
We remember falling in love with Disney’s Beauty & The Beast like it was yesterday (come on, we weren’t the only ones who cried at the end, right?!)… so now it’s time to introduce a whole new generation of littlies to Belle, Beast, Lumiere and Cogsworth with the 3D re-release of this stunning animated classic. Just in time for Valentine’s too!When: Released 14 February

Colours of the wind
Enjoy a magical night of wind and percussion instruments with this special educational concert designed especially for children. Harry Brings You Into The Wind World features the Hong Kong Wind Philharmonia led by conductor Victor Tam, plus an appearance from much-loved guest magician Harry Wong, and is suitable for ages 3 and up.

Pull shapes
Get into the rhythm with some of Hong Kong’s most talented up-and-coming young dancers at Kids Gallery’s Dance Showcase 2012. Expect more dance styles than a marathon session of Strictly, including jazz, hip hop, lyrical, Irish, Latin, contemporary, ballet and urban numbers over two nights of fancy footwork! We’re out of breath just thinking about it!

Date night dinner
If there was ever a time to warn the helper you’re staying out late and enjoy a night out with your significant other, the week of Valentine’s must be it!
