What Sassy Mama Wants: October

Style & BeautyPost Category - Style & BeautyStyle & Beauty - Post Category - Style For YouStyle For You

As the summer heat fades away and a little breeze adds a spring to our step we can’t help but dream about some goodies for What Sassy Mama Wants this month. From new beauty products for you and your little one to the coolest backpack on the block, there’s plenty for you to add to the wish list! Maybe something for an early Christmas present or two…

Cinci Soap

1. Cinci Soap
You’d think we’d be over a standard bar of soap, but not if it’s from Cinci. We love a good product that pampers and is ultimately good for us and that’s exactly what their soaps are. The soaps, launched by Cinci Leung of EC Clinic (check out her recent Sassy Mama post here!), are specially formulated to sort out any ailments caused by stress and pollutants. They’re handmade in HK (another reason to love them!) and come in a variety of fragrances. Try the Spicy Ginger, which is ideal for dry skin and expectant mamas, or the Happy Baby, which is suitable for bubs. Oh, and the packaging is awesome so they make great gifts too for the upcoming season!

Find it: Available from EC Clinic, Room 1503, SBI Centre, 54-8 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong for $198.

Cowshed2. Cowshed Baby Cow Full Body Cream
Mamas with new born bubs will love this luxuriously rich and moisturising body cream from Cowshed. Right on time for the cool and dry season in the city, the Baby Cow Full Body Cream will pamper, soothe and moisturise baby’s skin. It’s got Meadowfoam oil, which means it stays on the skin for a while and you won’t need to keep reapplying (unless, of course, baby loves massage time with mama!). With natural UV protection, this body cream is suitable for newborns and older kids, who’ll just love to slather this on after bath time.

Find it: Available at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong Spa, 6/F, 8 Finance Street, Central, Hong Kong; $269 for a 50ml jar

mi dulce anya

3. mi dulce an’ya
We adore the collection of organic kids clothes at mi ducle an’ya. Their fabulous range of easy-to-wear pieces marries vintage-inspired aesthetics with local Indian craft traditions. Catering to boys and girls aged 0 to 8 years, each piece is made with only the softest GOTS-certified organic cotton. We’re eyeing this jammie set with heart applique that comes in pink or yellow for your 3 or 4 year old girl, and these check-print Bermuda shorts for boys.

Find it: Available here for $233 and here for $287

Sili Squeeze4. Sili Squeeze
Is your tiny tot ready for something other than baby formula? If he or she is making the transition into purees, smoothies and beyond, the Sili Squeeze is the perfect dispenser. Designed for small mouths, and babies who know exactly how to get milk out of a bottle, the Sili Squeeze is fuss-free and mess-free. All your little one has to do is squeeze to get the taste of their favourite applesauce. It’s not just for newbies either, there’s a different spout for toddlers. They’ll have such fun at snack time, and no mess for you, mama!

Find it: Available at Bumps to Babes, Mothercare or direct from the website here for $168 (4oz) or $198 (6oz)

Hamstead_Check Tan_HKD$1600_FRONT

5. Jack Wills Hamstead Check Tan Backpack
We’re a trendy lot at Sassy Mama HQ, and we’re totally getting on trend with backpacks. They’re super versatile and spacious – perfect for storing all sorts of junk including that half-filled bag of dried fruit for the kids or the little one’s favourite dinosaur toy while you’re out and about. Fabulous British brand Jack Wills has got a range of trendy backpacks that’ll have you trekking round town hands-free for when emergencies arise. The Hamstead Check Tan with its drawstring close and buckle is perfect for the autumn weather, too. We’re totally coveting this piece right now.

Find it: Available at Jack Wills stores around town for $1,600.

apple & pie

6. apple & pie
Shoe favourite apple & pie have launched their A/W 2014 collection, which means its time to update baby’s shoe selection. The snug sneakers are great for keeping the kid’s feet warm as the cool winter months approach, and for those who are taking their first steps. Choose from brands such as Bisgaard, Primigi, Pom Pom, Ricosta and Romagnoli, which will give your child a good fit and something steady to walk in. One of our faves is this navy number with a yellow star, while another is a navy and red combo. You’re little one will do away with those Air Jordans in no time…

Find it: Shop 206, One Island South, 2 Heung Yip Road, Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong

ghd

7. ghd White Eclipse styler
Party season is on the horizon, mama, and while the kids are making it difficult for you to step out of the house for that blow out before putting on your dancing shoes, ghd is here to save the day. Run one of their stylers through your locks for a sleek and shiny salon finish… all in minutes! You’ll wonder why you spent hours at your local salon getting each section painstakingly blow-dried when ghd’s White Eclipse was right there all along. You’ll get results in just one stroke, and if you’re worried about heat damage, this one gives an outstanding finish on a lower heat setting. We’re coveting one… sleek, salon-looking hair every day? Who could say no to that?

Find it: Available at Lane Crawford in Times Square or Canton Road along with selected salons for $2,559. Check your nearest location here.
