Mother’s Choice Walkathon: Families Walking for Families

Mother’s Choice is a grassroots non-profit organisation that provides and promotes loving, nurturing care for babies and children needing permanent homes, and for single girls and their family facing crisis pregnancies. Since 2014, the Walkathon has become one of our focused annual events, which engages the community and contributes to their operation.

This year, Mother’s Choice is hosting the Mother’s Choice Walkathon: Families Walking for Families along Bowen Road, with a Carnival at the finish line including food, games and entertainment for all ages. Through the Walkathon, they honour and celebrate families, bringing together the Hong Kong community to celebrate the fact that every child deserves a loving, permanent, and stable family to call their own: a family that gives children a chance to love and be loved, and changes their destiny.

In the first ever walkathon last year, more than 850 participants signed up walking for families, and a total of over $2.4 million raised in benefit of Mother’s Choice. This year, the goal is to raise $2.7 million to help them build families through their services that restore, build, and provide support to families.
